What You Can Access at This Level

Burgundy Premier Cru — from quality producers in good vintages, Premier Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from respected communes enter this range. These are wines with genuine terroir expression and significant ageing potential.

Burgundy Grand Cru entry — the most accessible Grand Crus (some Corton, Clos de Vougeot from lesser-known producers, Charmes-Chambertin) can be found here from smaller domaines in less hyped vintages.

Classified Bordeaux — second and third growths from the Médoc, older vintages of first growths, and right-bank wines from Pomerol and Saint-Émilion satellites.
