At Halles de Quercamps, our Last Bottles section is not a sale. It is an opportunity. These are wines in their final stock — the last remaining bottles of vintages, cuvées, and domaines that will not return to our shelves.

What Are Last Bottles?

Last bottles arise from several situations:

→    Sold-out vintages — when a particular year of a wine has been exhausted across the market. The remaining bottles we hold are among the last in circulation.

→    Retiring vignerons — when a producer stops making wine, their final vintages become irreplaceable. We often hold the last commercial stocks of such wines.

→    One-off allocations — wines we received as a single allocation, never to be repeated. Often small-production, experimental, or simply extraordinary.

→    Older vintages — bottles from our own cellar reserves, now at peak drinking window, available while stocks last.

→    Discontinued cuvées — wines whose recipe, appellation, or producer has changed. The original expression exists only in remaining bottles.

Why Last Bottles Are Not Discounts

We are very clear about this: Last Bottles are not a clearance section. We do not discount wines to move stock. If a wine appears here, it is because genuine scarcity has made it so — not because quality has declined or because we need to free up space.

In fact, last bottles often carry a premium. Rarity has real value in fine wine. A last-remaining bottle of a great Pomerol vintage or a retired vigneron's final cuvée is worth more, not less, than when it was first listed.

How to Approach Last Bottles

Buy without hesitation if:

→    You already know and love the producer or appellation

→    The wine is at or approaching its optimal drinking window

→    You are building a cellar with wines that cannot be acquired elsewhere

→    The vintage is recognised as exceptional

Ask us if:

→    You are unsure whether the wine suits your taste or occasion

→    You want guidance on drinking windows or food pairing

→    You are considering a larger quantity for a special event or as a gift
