CHATEAU LA GOMERIE
Tucked into the slopes of Saint-Émilion in the Gironde, Château la Gomerie covers barely 2 hectares of pure Merlot, grown on sandy clay soils laced with iron deposits. Once the enclosed priory vineyard of the Abbaye de Fayse, this micro-terroir was acquired in 1995 by the Bécot family, who transformed it into one of the appellation's most talked-about garage wines, crafted with consultant Michel Rolland. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the singularity of its terroir, the precision of its winemaking, and the remarkable density that Merlot achieves on these ferrous and calcareous soils. A Saint-Émilion rouge of rare concentration — at once generous and precise.
