Château Filhot has long been celebrated for the quality of its wines, but the estate merits equal recognition for its remarkable English-style park, designed by the renowned landscape architect Louis-Bernard Fischer in 1845. This second wine reflects the château's commitment to excellence.

CHATEAU FILHOT
Château Filhot covers 62 hectares in Sauternes (Gironde), classified 2nd Grand Cru in 1855, on soils of gravel, clay and sand across south and south-westerly facing slopes. Founded in 1709 by Romain de Filhot, the château has been guided since 1974 by the de Vaucelles family, descendants of the Lur-Saluces line. Built around 60% Sémillon, their sweet whites express a measured richness sustained by deliberately restrained yields of 15 to 18 hl/ha. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its vintages, the precision of its élevage, and the historical standing of one of Sauternes' great names — now HVE level 3 certified. A benchmark Sauternes for the discerning cellar.
