The Greatest French White Wine Appellations

Grand Cru Burgundy Chardonnay represents the pinnacle of white wine worldwide. The eight Grands Crus of Burgundy — Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne, and Charlemagne — produce Chardonnay of extraordinary complexity, mineral intensity, and longevity.
