Château Guiraud is an estate in the Sauternes appellation (Bordeaux), classified First Growth (1855). Area: 128 hectares with 85 under vine. Co-owned by Xavier Planty and LVMH. Grapes: Sémillon (65%) and Sauvignon Blanc (35%). Gravel and clay soils. The first Sauternes First Growth to be certified organic. Also producing a dry wine (G de Guiraud).
Le Château Guiraud trace son propre chemin en s'engageant dans l'étude de la Biodiversité, il devient le 1er grand Cru classé en 1855 à recevoir la certification agriculture biologique. La remise en question perpétuelle et l'exigence de laisser faire la nature afin que la vigne s'épanouisse pleinement tel est la philosophie de ce domaine qui oeuvre chaque jour pour notre plus grand plaisir.
