Breeding
A minimum of 5 years on lees. This extended period is crucial for taming the power of Pinot Noir and imparting its silky texture.
On the eye
Pale golden with luminous green and silver highlights, signalling the freshness and vitality to follow.
On the nose
Distinctly fruited: fresh red berries and blackcurrant lead, with a clean mineral undertone that lifts and refreshes the bouquet without heaviness.
In the mouth
Elegant and structured, the palate shows fine vinosity balanced by a gourmand character. The finish is clean and persistent, with no heaviness.
M. Francois
The Princes cuvée, created in 1864 by Joseph de Venoge as homage to the House of Orange, remains a benchmark of refined Champagne tradition. Its distinctive carafe echoes the crystal decanters favoured by European aristocracy in the early twentieth century—a reminder that great Champagne was once decanted as a matter of course. This remains a wine of genuine substance.

CHAMPAGNE DE VENOGE

Established at 33 avenue de Champagne in Épernay, Champagne de Venoge is one of the appellation's most enduring Houses, working chalk-soil terroirs across the Marne. Founded in 1837 by Swiss négociant Henri-Marc de Venoge at Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the House has built its identity on the mastery of all three Champagne varieties — Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay — in a style that balances structure with finesse, now carried forward under the Lanson-BCC group. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this House for the consistency of its cuvées, the depth of its history, and its assured positioning within one of the world's most demanding appellations. Nearly two centuries of Champagne-making, and the signature remains entirely its own.
