CHÂTEAU LA CABANNE
Situated on the western slope of the Pomerol plateau, Château la Cabanne covers 9 hectares of clay-gravel soils over a subsoil of mâchefer — the iron-rich crust defining the finest terroirs of this appellation. In the Estager family's hands since 1952, the château has refined its style around Merlot and Cabernet Franc, drawing on blue clays and iron oxides for structure and depth. Following a fire in 2010, the winery was entirely rebuilt in 2011, and organic certification was achieved in 2023. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the consistency of its mâchefer terroir, the Estager family's rigour across generations, and their commitment to organic viticulture. A Pomerol of genuine character, rooted in one of Bordeaux's most coveted appellations.
