A leading estate of the Côtes Catalanes appellation

  • This cuvée draws from Carignan vines over a century old, rooted in the distinctive terroir of Roussillon. The age of these vines imparts remarkable concentration and complexity to the wine.
  • The wine achieves an admirable balance between ripe fruit and vibrant acidity, characteristic of quality Catalan reds. This freshness ensures the wine remains elegant and food-friendly across the table.
  • This is a wine of genuine structure and ageing potential. Patience will be rewarded; cellaring for several years will allow the wine to develop further complexity and refinement.

In the mouth
Rounded and supple on entry, with refreshing acidity that carries the palate. The finish is clean and persistent, with fine tannin structure that suggests rewarding development in bottle
On the nose
Red and dark berry fruits predominate, with subtle spice and mineral notes that speak to the ancient vines and limestone-rich soils of the region
On the eye
Bright ruby red with good depth of colour
Breeding
24 months' élevage, 100% new oak barrels
M. Francois
A wine of considerable merit with Moroccan tagines and slow-cooked meat dishes. The wine's natural acidity and moderate alcohol complement spiced preparations beautifully. Also excellent with mature cheeses and charcuterie. This is serious, food-focused winemaking from a respected Roussillon producer.
