A distinguished Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate of considerable repute

  • This château bears the name of Albert Macquin, the 19th-century viticulturist whose pioneering work proved instrumental in combating phylloxera and reshaping Bordeaux viticulture. His legacy endures in the vineyard's careful stewardship and commitment to quality.
  • The Merlot provides the wine's supple fruit foundation and textural richness, whilst Cabernet Franc contributes aromatic complexity and structural elegance, creating a harmonious blend of Bordeaux tradition.
  • Cabernet Sauvignon lends structure, depth and the characteristic dark fruit character that defines the wine's backbone. These three varietals combine to create a wine of genuine complexity and ageing potential.
