CHATEAU PAVIE MACQUIN
Set on the high plateau of Saint-Émilion, Château Pavie Macquin covers 15 hectares of clay-limestone over starred limestone bedrock, at altitudes between 75 and 100 metres. Founded in 1887 by Albert Macquin — the pioneer of phylloxera-resistant grafting in the appellation — the château was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé B in 2006, through the work of Nicolas Thienpont and Stéphane Derenoncourt, who recentred the vineyard around disciplined yields of 30 hl/ha. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this estate for its HVE-certified viticulture, the precision of its merlot and cabernet franc blend on a first-rank terroir, and the consistency the Corre-Macquin family has maintained since 1994. A Saint-Émilion built for the cellar.
