South-facing terroir, amphitheatre-shaped vineyard of distinction

  • A powerful yet harmoniously balanced Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, characterised by the distinctive south-facing exposure and natural amphitheatre formation of its vineyard. Structure and depth mark this serious Bordeaux offering.
  • From an established Bordeaux domaine whose Saint-Émilion holdings benefit from exceptional terroir positioning on the Right Bank. A wine of genuine pedigree and consistency.
  • Pairs excellently with red meat dishes — particularly game such as guinea fowl, hard cheeses, and autumnal preparations featuring wild mushrooms. A wine of sufficient structure to complement robust table fare.

Product features : Château Bellevue Mondotte Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 75cl

Breeding
100% new French oak barrels for approximately 18 to 24 months.
On the eye
Deep, intense garnet. A wine of considerable colour concentration, suggesting good extraction and ripe fruit at harvest.
On the nose
Aromas of dark berries — blackcurrant and plum — with secondary notes of graphite and subtle oak influence. The bouquet develops with air, revealing mineral undertones characteristic of the Right Bank terroir.
In the mouth
Structured and powerful on the palate, with firm tannins and good acidity providing framework. Dark fruit flavours persist through a measured finish, with mineral grip and length suggesting ageing potential.
M. Francois
A wine of genuine substance. The amphitheatre exposure of this vineyard concentrates flavours whilst the south-facing aspect ensures full ripeness. I would recommend it alongside a well-hung game course, a mature Comté, or a simple preparation of wild mushrooms. The structure here will reward a few years in bottle, though it drinks with pleasure now.
