From Clos Bel-Air to Grand Cru: two centuries of Saint-Émilion tradition

  • This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru displays a striking balance between power and refinement. The wine combines generous structure with an elegant, measured approach—a personality that rewards both immediate appreciation and patient cellaring.
  • Classified Grand Cru in 2006, Fleur Cardinale is built for the long term. The wine's well-integrated tannins and balanced fruit suggest a decade or more of graceful evolution ahead, developing greater complexity with time.
  • A classically proportioned Bordeaux blend from the Right Bank, unified by ripe fruit, subtle florality, and a measured hand in the cellar. The organic certification reflects the estate's commitment to terroir-driven winemaking.

Product features : Chateau Fleur Cardinale 2018 — Saint-Émilion Grand Cru — Organic

In the mouth
The palate is harmonious and generous, with silky tannins that frame the fruit without dominating. The wine shows good length and a balanced structure that speaks to careful élevage and judicious oak use.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with ripe dark fruits—plum and blackcurrant—followed by delicate floral notes and a whisper of spice. The aromatic profile is intense yet composed, revealing further layers with aeration.
On the eye
Deep, dense garnet with an almost opaque core—a wine of substance and maturity.
Breeding
Aged 12 to 14 months in barrels.
M. Francois
Fleur Cardinale pairs beautifully with roasted game birds—quail or pigeon—where its structure and elegance complement the delicate meat. It is equally at home with a well-seasoned roasted chicken. The wine's balance makes it versatile at table, suitable from the second or third year onwards, though it will continue to develop for many years to come.
