Breeding
16 to 18 months in 100% new oak barrels
On the eye
Intense ruby-red with violet reflections in youth, gradually evolving towards a deep, lustrous garnet that speaks to phenolic concentration.
On the nose
Complex and refined, with red and dark fruit aromas complemented by the characteristic Cabernet Franc notes of violet and peony. The bouquet unfolds gradually, revealing subtle mineral undertones.
In the mouth
Elegant attack followed by a rich, dense palate with silken texture. The finish is marked by fresh red fruit and a distinctive mineral elegance that lingers with refinement.
M. Francois
Cheval Blanc's defining quality is its timelessness. Unlike more opulent neighbours, it pursues purity over raw power—a wine simultaneously complex as a Médoc and voluptuous as a Libournais wine. Its reputation rests on remarkable consistency; the market recognises that even in challenging vintages, this estate approaches perfection. Few wines worldwide command such unwavering confidence.
