A family estate rooted in the history of Muscadet

Les Domaines Landron Muscadet was founded in 1945 by Pierre and Julien Landron, at a time when the Loire appellation was only beginning to define itself. The estate navigated the sweeping changes that would reshape Muscadet over the following decades without ever compromising on quality. In 1979, Jo Landron took over the reins and set the estate on a markedly different course — one defined by a return to the land, a refusal of industrial shortcuts, and a conviction that Muscadet, when grown on the right soils and farmed with care, is capable of far more than its reputation once suggested.

Exceptional soils across the Sèvre Nantaise slopes

The estate's 50 hectares are spread across the hillside slopes of the Sèvre Nantaise, a landscape of considerable geological diversity. The soils here — amphibolites, clay-over-sandstone, orthogneiss and quartz — are among the most varied and expressive in the Loire. Each parcel brings its own mineral signature to the Melon de Bourgogne grape, the sole variety cultivated across the estate.
