Breeding
18 to 20 months in new French oak barrels and one-year-old oak. This extended élevage polishes the powerful tannins of Tannat.
On the eye
Brilliant garnet robe with good depth of colour.
On the nose
Aromas of dark berries and plum, followed by gentle spice and white pepper notes that add complexity and lift.
In the mouth
Fresh and juicy on the palate, with silky tannins and good structure. The wine shows balance between ripe fruit and mineral acidity, with a clean, persistent finish.
This wine proves what Gascony can achieve at the highest level—a red capable of rivalling the great South-West appellations such as Madiran or Cahors, yet with greater elegance and a distinctive chalky minerality. It will serve beautifully with lamb, game birds such as pheasant, or a traditional civet. A wine of real character and breeding.

DOMAINE CHIROULET
Domaine Chiroulet is a family wine estate in the Gers, Côtes de Gascogne (South-West France). Founded by the Fezas family. Around 60 hectares on clay-limestone soils. Grapes: Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng (whites), Tannat, Merlot (reds). Dry whites, sweet whites and sparkling wines. Available at Les Halles de Quercamps.
