CHATEAU LAROZE
Château Laroze sits on 27 hectares of sand and clay soils at the north-west foot of the Saint-Émilion slopes, in the heart of one of Bordeaux's most celebrated appellations. Founded in 1882 by the Gurchy family — whose presence on this terroir dates to 1610 — the château has held Grand Cru Classé status since the very first classification of 1955. Under the Meslin family, the estate produces Merlot-led reds complemented by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot, at a disciplined yield of 40 hl/ha. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the remarkable depth of its family history, the distinctive character of its sandy soils, and the consistent quality of its red wines within the appellation.
