Golden straw-coloured robe with appealing luminosity
On the nose
The bouquet reveals tropical fruit character with honeyed undertones, suggesting ripe stone fruits and candied citrus notes that develop with aeration.
In the mouth
Tropical fruit flavours dominate the palate, supported by a refreshing acidity and a lingering finish of preserved citrus. The wine maintains excellent balance throughout, with neither the sweetness nor the acidity overwhelming the other.
M. Francois
Château Quincarnon pairs beautifully with foie gras, the traditional pairing for Sauternes. It also complements blue cheeses, desserts featuring stone fruits or honey, and lighter patisserie. The wine's acidity prevents cloying, making it versatile for various sweet courses. Best enjoyed at 8–10°C.

CHÂTEAU QUINCARNON

Situated at Fargues in the Gironde, just 1.5 km from Château d'Yquem, Château Quincarnon works 13 hectares of AOC Bordeaux across gravelly soils laced with sand and clay. The château was founded in 1988 by Carlos Aseretto, a Peruvian-born vigneron who recognised the potential of a property whose origins stretch back to the seventeenth century; his son Gabriel took the helm in 2021. The range spans reds built on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and whites blending Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the singularity of its family story, the precision of its encépagement, and the consistent quality Gabriel brings to each vintage. A Bordeaux of genuine character, rooted in one of the Gironde's most storied corners.
