This wine's complexity and finesse make it an excellent choice for blue-veined cheeses, foie gras preparations, or fruit-based desserts. Its aromatic profile also suits lighter Asian-inspired dishes with sweet and savoury elements. A versatile moelleux for the thoughtful collector.

CLOS UROULAT

Clos Uroulat cultivates 16 hectares on the clay-limestone hillsides of Monein, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, under the Jurançon appellation and certified biodynamic, with yields held to 25 hl/ha. Charles Hours — scientist and former rugby player turned vigneron — took over the estate in 1983; his daughter Marie joined him in 2005, cementing Clos Uroulat's standing as one of the appellation's most respected names. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its biodynamic viticulture, the precision of its Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng blends, and the distinctive character its terroir lends to every white it produces. A reliable address for anyone seeking Jurançon at its most expressive.
