On the eye
Brilliant, deep ruby colour with excellent clarity.
On the nose
Attractive bouquet of ripe red and dark fruits, with subtle spice and mineral notes. The aromatics are precise and well-defined, reflecting the limestone terroir.
In the mouth
Excellent balance between the richness of Merlot and the saline acidity derived from the calcaire subsoil. The wine is fresh, juicy, and harmonious, with fine tannin structure and lingering fruit.

CHATEAU D'AIGUILHE
Set on the argilo-calcaire plateaux and upper slopes of Saint-Philippe-d'Aiguilhe in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, Château d'Aiguilhe covers 50 hectares with disciplined yields of 30 hl/ha. Acquired in 1998 by Comte Stephan von Neipperg — who also directs Canon-La-Gaffelière in Saint-Émilion — the château has undergone a thorough transformation: restructured vineyards, tighter viticulture, and a south-facing encépagement led by Merlot and Cabernet Franc. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its vintages, the clarity with which its limestone terroir speaks in the glass, and the rigour that von Neipperg brings to every aspect of production. A right-bank Bordeaux well worth following.
