CHATEAU VEYRY

Established on 4 hectares of clay-limestone hillsides at Saint-Laurent-des-Combes in the Gironde, Château Veyry produces a right-bank Bordeaux rouge from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with views over the Dordogne valley. Christian Veyry, a consulting oenologist who worked alongside Michel Rolland, took over the property in 1987 and released his first vintage only in 1997 — a decade spent perfecting the vineyard. The château embodies the garagiste philosophy: tiny production, meticulous parcel-by-parcel work, and uncompromising attention in the cellar. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the precision of its viticulture, its singular right-bank position, and its admission to the Cercle Rive Droite de Grands Vins de Bordeaux in 2002. A Bordeaux of real character.
