Breeding
Ageing in concrete and stainless steel vessels to preserve the purity of the fruit. No oak barrel ageing for this cuvée, to prioritise the expression of terroir.
On the eye
Garnet robe with good depth of colour
On the nose
Aromas of dark forest floor, ripe raspberry, kirsch and plum develop with measured intensity, suggesting careful extraction and balanced élevage
In the mouth
Dense and concentrated, yet structured rather than heavy. The palate shows good complexity with layered fruit and savoury undertones. The finish is sustained and clean, with fine tannin integration
M. Francois
A wine of genuine character, well suited to an evening with friends who appreciate serious Languedoc reds. The balance between fruit and structure suggests it will reward a year or two in bottle, though it presents well now. Pair with roasted game, beef dishes, or mature cheeses.

CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT

Set on the argilo-calcaire slopes and rolled-pebble soils of Saint-Drézéry, north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut farms 150 hectares in organic conversion within the Languedoc appellation. Founded in 1980 by Gérard Bru on what was once dense garrigue and olive groves, the estate has steadily established itself as one of the region's most consistent addresses, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for its reds, and Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its range, the precision of its assemblages, and the fresh momentum brought since 2024 by incoming managing director Arnaud Demongeot. A reliable, characterful choice for those who want the Languedoc at its most complete.
