Saint-Émilion elegance: rich, balanced, and generously structured

  • This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru captures the authentic character of its celebrated appellation. Situated at the heart of the region, Château Franc Lartigue produces wines of genuine elegance and generous substance, reflecting the terroir's finest qualities.
  • The blend marries Merlot's roundness and suppleness with Cabernet Franc's finesse and complexity. This composition creates a wine of considerable depth, built to develop gracefully over time whilst remaining approachable in its youth.
  • The hallmark of this vintage lies in its mature, integrated tannins. Rather than aggressive structure, they provide a refined backbone that supports the wine's generous fruit character and ensures a long, satisfying finish.

Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, indicating solid concentration and ripeness at harvest
Breeding
12 to 18 months in oak barrels, partly new, imparting complexity and structure to the wine
M. Francois
Château Franc Lartigue embodies Saint-Émilion's finest virtues: power tempered by elegance. The wine's roundness and layered aromatics make it an excellent companion to roasted meats and mature cheeses. A Grand Cru that rewards both immediate enjoyment and patient cellaring for special occasions.

CHÂTEAU FRANC LARTIGUE

Situated in the commune of Vignonet in the Gironde, Château Franc Lartigue works 8 hectares within the Saint-Émilion appellation across clay-limestone, sandy, and gravelly soils, planted predominantly with Merlot. Incorporated into the SCEA des Vignobles Marcel Petit in 1988, the château passed in 1997 to Élisabeth and Jean-Pierre Toxé — daughter and son-in-law of the founder — who have since steered it towards HVE certification. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its reds, the honest Bordeaux character they express, and the genuine commitment of its owners to responsible viticulture. A grounded Saint-Émilion, faithful to its appellation and well worth exploring in our Bordeaux range.
