Toasted oak notes blend seamlessly with aromas of ripe dark fruits. The nose displays the characteristic balance of the vintage, with neither oak nor fruit dominating the composition.
In the mouth
The palate shows a supple structure with well-integrated tannins. Ripe fruit flavours are lifted by a subtle spice note, creating a wine of good length and satisfying finish.
This wine demonstrates the classic food-friendly qualities of the Right Bank. It pairs admirably with roasted red meats, game, and well-aged cheeses. The moderate alcohol and refined tannins make it equally suitable for lighter preparations such as duck or lamb. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to open fully.

CHÂTEAU PEYROUTAS
Set on 2 hectares at Vignonet in the Gironde, Château Peyroutas produces a red Bordeaux from organically farmed Merlot and Cabernet Franc, grown on clay-limestone and sandy-gravelly soils with a full southerly aspect. The Thienpont family, whose roots in the Bordeaux vineyard stretch back nearly a century, converted this château to organic farming from the 2012 vintage and aligned it with the Terra Burdigala network alongside Stéphane Derenoncourt. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its organic approach, the coherence of its encépagement, and the credibility of a family whose Bordelais standing needs no introduction. A Bordeaux of real character — precise, grounded, and genuinely accessible.
