In the mouth

This wine finds its natural home alongside roasted poultry—a perfect match for a bird roasted simply on the spit. Its acidity and fruit-forward character also complement lighter game dishes and charcuterie. Serve at cellar temperature for optimal expression.

DOMAINE DE L'ECU
Based at Le Landreau in Loire-Atlantique, Domaine de l'Ecu farms 24 hectares of Muscadet under full Demeter-certified biodynamic principles. Founded in 1972 by Guy Bossard — one of the appellation's earliest organic pioneers — the estate was taken over in 2010 by Fred Niger, who has since pushed the approach further still: amphora vinification and parcel-specific cuvées declinated by soil type, across Gneiss, Orthogneiss, and Granite. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its viticulture, the geological clarity of its terroirs, and the character of its Melon de Bourgogne whites. For those seeking a Muscadet of genuine substance, this is a serious address.
