The essence of Languedoc's finest terroirs

  • Domaine la Bouysse Roc Long draws from carefully selected parcels of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, each contributing distinctive character to this Corbières cuvée. The blend reflects both the rigour of organic viticulture and the natural expression of the appellation's limestone soils.
  • The wine presents considerable aromatic intensity and palatal depth. Dark stone fruits, garrigue herbs and subtle spice develop on the nose, whilst the palate reveals structured tannins and a sustained finish—a wine of genuine complexity rather than mere power.
  • This is a natural companion to roasted and braised red meats, game dishes, and well-aged cheeses. Its structure and character reward careful food pairing and will develop further in bottle over the next five to eight years.

Roc Long exemplifies what serious Corbières can achieve. The wine balances the inherent power of its terroir with restraint and elegance. For those seeking a robust, food-friendly red with genuine complexity, this represents the appellation at its most accomplished. Organic certification underscores a commitment to sustainable practice.

DOMAINE LA BOUYSSE

Based at Saint-André-de-Roquelongue in the Aude, Domaine la Bouysse farms 40 hectares across two contrasting Corbières terroirs: sandy sandstone soils around Fontfroide and clay-limestone at Boutenac. Fourth-generation vignerons Martine Pagès and Christophe Molinier took over in 1996, leaving the local cooperative to vinify their own fruit — and committed to organic farming from 2010, earning AB certification in 2013. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its certified organic viticulture, the breadth of its southern grape varieties, and the precision with which it captures two distinct faces of the Corbières appellation. Characterful reds, aromatic whites and honest rosés well worth the attention of any serious Languedoc enthusiast.
