CHATEAU CITRAN

Château Citran stands at Avensan in the Haut-Médoc, across 100 hectares of pure graves and argilo-calcaire soils at the heart of Bordeaux's left bank. One of the oldest seigneuries in the Médoc, the château was founded in 1235, remained in the Donissan family for six centuries, and has been listed as a historic monument since 2012. Under the Merlaut family's stewardship since 1996, it produces structured reds from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its gravel terroir, the rigour of the Merlaut family's approach, and the reliability of its vintages across the appellation. A serious reference for lovers of classic left-bank Bordeaux.
