Product features : Château Cos-Labory 5ème Cru Classé 2023 Saint-Estephe

Breeding
14 to 18 months in French oak barrels, with a high proportion of new wood (often 100%)
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with subtle brick-coloured highlights at the rim, suggesting graceful maturation.
On the nose
An open, expressive bouquet dominated by dark fruits—cassis and blackberry—with red plum undertones. Earthy notes of undergrowth and tobacco leaf emerge, with the characteristic cedar note typical of Saint-Estephe Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the mouth
A clean, direct attack revealing immediate appeal. Fine freshness carries through the palate, leading to a finish marked by ripe fruit and liquorice notes. Medium to good length with elegant restraint throughout.
M. Francois
Cos-Labory consistently offers one of the finest quality-to-value ratios amongst Bordeaux's classified growths. A wine of gentlemanly character—less exuberant than its illustrious neighbour Cos d'Estournel, yet possessed of exemplary nobility and rectitude. Classic Saint-Estephe: robust, profound, built for time. Pairs admirably with guinea fowl or milk-fed lamb.
