Product features : Château Fonplegade Grand Cru Classé 2023 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Breeding
12 to 18 months in new French oak casks (50%), one-year-old barrels (30%), oval concrete vats (10%) and amphorae (10%)
On the eye
Deep purple robe with violet reflections, displaying the luminous clarity characteristic of biodynamically farmed wines.
On the nose
Remarkable aromatic purity. Bright black fruits—dark cherry, wild blackberry—mingle with ripe raspberry. The signature floral notes of violet and faded rose emerge alongside mineral hints of damp chalk and graphite.
In the mouth
Immediate velvety texture with spherical, tonically balanced structure. The tannins are exceptionally fine and powdery, providing elegant grip without harshness.
M. Francois
One of the appellation's oldest vineyards—its name derives from 'Fontaine Plaine'. A wine of considerable pedigree. Pairs beautifully with beef tenderloin with morels, roasted pigeon, or herb-crusted lamb. The 2023 vintage exemplifies the estate's commitment to terroir expression through biodynamic viticulture.
