  • Langoa-Barton reveals profound dark fruit character with a fine-grained tannic structure. Its civilised palate and vertical architecture make it an ideal companion to refined cuisine and contemplative occasions alike.

M. Francois
Langoa-Barton remains a favourite amongst classical Bordeaux enthusiasts. This is a wine of quiet confidence, seeking to persuade through harmony rather than exuberance. It represents the Saint-Julien prototype: the structural backbone of Pauillac tempered by the feminine finesse of Margaux. A civilised, profound wine of exemplary consistency. In the cellar, it is an absolute refuge of value. Pairs admirably with poultry dishes and refined preparations.

CHATEAU LANGOA BARTON

Set on the gravel slopes of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle overlooking the Gironde, Château Langoa Barton is one of the very few 3rd Grands Crus Classés of 1855 still held by the family that owned it at the time of classification. Acquired in 1821 by Hugh Barton, the château works 20 hectares of shallow graves to produce red wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Saint-Julien style — precise, full-bodied and quietly elegant — and for the remarkable continuity of a family now in its tenth generation with Lilian Barton Sartorius. A benchmark of the appellation, and one we are proud to list.
