On the eye
Deep, luminous red. The colour is clear and fluid, suggesting both power and elegance.
On the nose
Intense, generous aromatics unfold with admirable complexity. Fresh fruit and warm spice mingle with floral notes and subtle vanilla, whilst pleasant oak integration reveals the Syrah's mineral character without masking it.
In the mouth
Forthright attack with dense, well-structured fruit. The tannins are present and refined, enveloped by judicious oak influence. The wine possesses impressive verticality and length.
Bardou proves that Languedoc, with rigour and care, can produce Syrahs of genuine pedigree—wines that need not defer to the great northern Rhône appellations of Hermitage or Cornas. This is serious, profound wine: rare in its verticality for the South, yet blessed with that captivating duality between solar power and mineral finesse.

DOMAINE LAURENT MIQUEL
Based in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Hérault, Domaine Laurent Miquel farms 200 hectares under certified organic agriculture across the Languedoc appellation. A winemaking family since 1791, Laurent — a trained engineer — took over in 1996 as the eighth generation and made history as the first producer to grow Albariño in France. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its viticultural project, the diversity of its terroirs — limestone at Cazal Viel, clay-limestone at Auzines — and the precision of its reds, whites, and rosés.
