Product features : Chateau Beauregard 2017 — Pomerol

In the mouth
Round, noble tannins, fully ripe and well-integrated. A welcome freshness lifts the palate and prevents any heaviness, creating a wine of genuine elegance and length.
On the nose
Intense and layered aromatics: cassis and blackberry lead to violet, soft spice, eucalyptus and forest floor. The bouquet unfolds gradually, revealing further nuance with air.
On the eye
Deep purple, with good intensity and clarity
Breeding
60% of the grand vin aged in new oak barrels for 18 months. Seven different coopers.
M. Francois
This is a versatile food wine. White meats, roasted poultry, red meat dishes and game all find natural partners here. The wine's restraint and freshness make it equally rewarding with lighter preparations. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the aromatics to fully emerge.

CHATEAU BEAUREGARD

Set on the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau, Château Beauregard covers 17 hectares farmed organically on the gravelly clay and sandy soils that define this appellation. Founded in 1677, this Napoleonic chartreuse — whose architecture inspired the Guggenheim family when building their Long Island estate — was acquired in 2014 by the Moulin and Cathiard families, who drove a thorough organic conversion and comprehensive replanting programme. The blend is led by Merlot at 70%, with Cabernet Franc at 27%, producing precise, terroir-driven reds of real character. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the rigour of its organic approach, the coherence of its project since 2014, and the typicity of its reds on one of Bordeaux's most demanding appellations.
