On the eye
Deep, dense garnet with purple undertones; a wine of serious presence and concentration.
On the nose
Intense and profound. Ripe dark fruits—wild blackberry and blackcurrant—mingle with a whisper of liquorice, creating an inviting and complex bouquet.
In the mouth
Remarkably dense on the palate. The tannins are present yet refined, with an exceptionally fine grain and silken texture—iron fist in a velvet glove.

Domaine de la Butte is a wine estate in the Bourgueil appellation (Loire Valley), created in 2002 by Jacky Blot (also owner of Taille aux Loups in Montlouis). Grape: Cabernet Franc. Around 14 hectares on tuffeau, gravel and clay soils. Single-vineyard cuvées: Mi-Pente, Perrières, Haut de la Butte. Wines of great precision and fine depth.
