In the mouth
The palate impresses through its length and exceptional finesse. Acidity provides structure without aggression, whilst the dosage is restrained, allowing the wine's natural character to emerge. A dry, elegant finish with lingering citrus notes.
On the nose
Citrus fruits and white flowers dominate the bouquet, with subtle mineral undertones characteristic of Grand Cru terroir. The aromatics develop gradually, revealing secondary notes of brioche and hazelnut with aeration.
On the eye
Golden robe with luminous highlights, crowned by an elegant and sustained effervescence
Breeding
Traditional method with extended ageing on lees to develop complex aromas.
M. Francois
Ame de Vitalie merits consideration by those seeking authentic Champagne craftsmanship. The wine's balance and refinement reflect both exceptional terroir and ancestral technique. For the discerning enthusiast, this represents a genuinely rewarding expression—a wine of substance and breeding rather than ostentation.

CHAMPAGNE DELAVENNE PERE & FILS

Based in Bouzy, one of the Montagne de Reims' seventeen Grand Cru villages, Champagne Delavenne Père & Fils cultivates 9 hectares of chalk-based vineyards across Bouzy, Ambonnay and Cramant, currently in organic conversion. Founded in 1920, the House has been led since 2008 by Jean-Christophe and Maëlle Delavenne, the fourth generation, who have steered it towards a more terroir-driven approach on these expressive chalky soils. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this House for the precision of its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blends, the mineral clarity that Bouzy's chalk imparts, and the integrity of its organic conversion commitment. Champagnes of real character, firmly rooted in one of the Marne's most celebrated villages.
