CHATEAU TAILLEFER
Situated at Libourne in the Gironde, Château Taillefer covers 12 hectares under the Bordeaux appellation, on a south-facing slope of silica, gravel and iron-rich blue clay. First acquired by Antoine Moueix in 1923 — founder of the celebrated Moueix dynasty — the château already appears on the Belleyme map of 1761, commissioned by Louis XV. Taken over in 2013 by Claire Moueix and Cyril Basteau, it is today farmed with rigour under HVE and Terra Vitis certification. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the seriousness of its viticulture, the depth of its Libournais roots, and the consistency of a Merlot–Cabernet Franc blend shaped by a genuinely distinguished terroir. A reliable address for lovers of characterful Bordeaux.
