  • Crafted under the stewardship of Bernard Magrez, whose portfolio encompasses Châteaux Pape Clément and La Tour Carnet. This heritage of expertise shapes a wine of technical precision and modern expression.
  • The wine develops with patience. Early purple notes evolve towards ruby intensity, whilst aromas deepen and broaden. Cellaring reveals increasingly complex layers of fruit and structure.
  • Six centuries of continuous history anchor this Saint-Émilion terroir. The vineyard's accumulated knowledge informs every vintage, creating wines of substance and provenance.

Product features : Chateau Fombrauge 2022 — Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Breeding
16 to 18 months in French oak barrels (approximately 40-50% new wood)
On the eye
Deep purple-black robe of considerable depth. Violet hues in youth gradually shift towards intense ruby as the wine matures.
On the nose
Exuberant bouquet of ripe dark fruits—blackberry preserve, blackcurrant, dark cherry. Magrez's signature emerges through noble oak: vanilla, roasted coffee, chocolate and toasted bread.
In the mouth
Spherical, fleshy palate with ripe, tightly woven tannins enveloped by generous matter. A full-bodied wine of considerable volume and structure, built for the table.
M. Francois
This Grand Cru Classé exemplifies modern Saint-Émilion: rich, voluptuous, yet underpinned by technical precision. The wine's power and elegance make it a natural companion to game—particularly wild duck with bitter orange sauce.
