  • A natural companion to charcuterie and cured meats, this wine's structure and fruit-forward character make it equally at home with roasted poultry or hearty Mediterranean fare. Versatile and approachable.

Breeding
Ageing in concrete and stainless steel vessels to preserve the purity of the fruit. No oak barrel ageing for this cuvée, to prioritise the expression of terroir.
On the eye
Garnet robe with good depth of colour
On the nose
Inviting aromatics of undergrowth and dark berries—raspberry and kirsch—with hints of ripe plum. The bouquet develops with air, revealing further complexity.
In the mouth
Dense and concentrated on the palate, with layers of flavour that unfold gradually. The tannins are well-integrated, leading to a succulent, lingering finish that speaks to careful élevage and ripe fruit.
M. Francois
This is a wine made for convivial occasions—the sort of bottle that brings people together without demanding centre stage. It possesses the substance to accompany good food and conversation, with enough character to reward attention. Well-suited to an evening among friends, where wine enhances rather than dominates the gathering.

CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT

Set on the argilo-calcaire slopes and rolled-pebble soils of Saint-Drézéry, north-east of Montpellier, Château Puech-Haut farms 150 hectares in organic conversion within the Languedoc appellation. Founded in 1980 by Gérard Bru on what was once dense garrigue and olive groves, the estate has steadily established itself as one of the region's most consistent addresses, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre for its reds, and Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier for its whites. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its range, the precision of its assemblages, and the fresh momentum brought since 2024 by incoming managing director Arnaud Demongeot. A reliable, characterful choice for those who want the Languedoc at its most complete.
