The soul of Saint-Chinian in every glass

  • This Saint-Chinian expresses the essence of its terroir with remarkable elegance and restraint. A wine that speaks of place rather than extraction, offering complexity without heaviness.
  • Connemara demonstrates the art of harvest timing in the south. This is intelligent drinking—a wine of refreshing clarity that combines the distinction of fine Pinot Noir with the warmth of southern France.
  • A versatile companion to red meat dishes, slow-cooked casseroles, and aged cheeses. This is a wine that enhances rather than overwhelms, making it an assured choice for discerning tables.

Product features : Laurent Miquel Saint-Chinian Connemara 2019

Breeding
Aged 14 months in French oak barrels.
On the eye
Deep ruby in colour, bright and limpid, with excellent clarity and fluidity.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and white pepper notes, with the mineral character of garrigue. The bouquet speaks of the wine's southern provenance without excess.
In the mouth
Rich, ripe fruit balanced by elegant structure. Silky tannins support notes of cedarwood and sandalwood in the finish. A wine of complexity and restraint, neither heavy nor over-oaked.
M. Francois
Connemara achieves something uncommon: a Pinot Noir of genuine freshness and digestibility in the warm south. This is no heavy, over-extracted wine. Instead, it possesses the refinement of cool-climate Pinot with an added dimension of southern sunshine. Intelligent drinking.

DOMAINE LAURENT MIQUEL

Based in Cessenon-sur-Orb in the Hérault, Domaine Laurent Miquel farms 200 hectares under certified organic agriculture across the Languedoc appellation. A winemaking family since 1791, Laurent — a trained engineer — took over in 1996 as the eighth generation and made history as the first producer to grow Albariño in France. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the coherence of its viticultural project, the diversity of its terroirs — limestone at Cazal Viel, clay-limestone at Auzines — and the precision of its reds, whites, and rosés. A benchmark address for anyone wishing to explore the full depth of the Languedoc.
