In the mouth
Ample and structured on the palate, with fine, well-integrated tannins. Flavours of blackcurrant and blackberry meld with black pepper, liquorice and violet, underpinned by elegant minerality. The finish is long and persistent, marked by refreshing acidity.
On the nose
Complex and intense bouquet: ripe dark fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), violet, black pepper and characteristic smoky notes typical of Côte-Rôtie. The aromatics evolve with air.

Aged in oak barrels for 18 months, approximately 25% new wood, imparting subtle vanilla and toasted aromas without overwhelming the fruit

Based in Ampuis at the heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin farms 20 hectares across steep hillside terraces of micaschist and red schist. Founded in 1983 by Jean-Michel Gerin, whose family has grown vines in Ampuis for six generations, the estate is now guided by Michaël and Alexis Gerin. Organic certification, effective from the 2023 vintage, crowns a long-held commitment to working these demanding northern Rhône terroirs with care and precision. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the clarity and depth of its Côte-Rôtie Syrahs, its rigorous approach to steep-slope viticulture, and the international standing it has earned without ever straying from Ampuis.
