Breeding
Two-thirds in new oak barrels and one-third in one-year-old barrels
On the eye
Deep ruby red with purple highlights, indicating youth and good concentration in the glass.
On the nose
The bouquet is expressive and layered: cassis and blackberry lead, followed by liquorice, forest floor, and tobacco leaf. The aromatics develop with air, revealing further complexity.
In the mouth
Ripe red fruits dominate the palate, complemented by subtle floral notes and a pleasant spice that lingers. The structure is well-balanced, with good acidity supporting the fruit.
M. Francois
This wine pairs excellently with grilled lamb cutlets dressed with herbs, or a quality steak. The tannin structure and acidity make it equally suited to richer poultry dishes. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the aromatics to fully express themselves.

CHATEAU DALEM

Château Dalem spans 40 hectares on the clay-limestone coteaux of Saillans, in the Gironde, within the Fronsac appellation. Founded in 1610, the vineyard remained in the same family for three centuries before Michel Rullier acquired it in 1955. His daughter Brigitte Rullier-Loussert — named Winemaker of the Year by the Guide Hachette 2019 — has since transformed the estate, expanding it from 15 to 40 hectares. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Fronsac reds, the honest expression of its terroir, and the rigorous vision Brigitte brings to every vintage. A Fronsac address that deserves the full attention of lovers of characterful Bordeaux.
