In the mouth
Harmonious and well-balanced, with fine-grained tannins providing structure and length. The palate displays good concentration without heaviness, allowing the wine's elegant character to develop
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of blackcurrant and black cherry, layered with spiced and smoky nuances that evolve as the wine opens in the glass
On the eye
Deep garnet with purple-tinged reflections
Breeding
Ageing of 21 months, 50% new oak barrels
M. Francois
A wine of considerable merit with beef dishes, particularly those with Asian-inspired marinades and spicing. The wine's structure and subtle tobacco notes complement Thai-spiced beef preparations exceptionally well, making it an excellent choice for adventurous entertaining.

CHATEAU LAGRANGE

Château Lagrange spans 118 hectares at Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, on the highest günzian gravel ridges in the appellation, reaching 24 metres at their peak. First recorded in 1631 and classified as a 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the château was acquired by the Suntory group in 1983 and transformed through one of the Médoc's most thorough renovation programmes — restoring both vineyard and cellars to their rightful standing. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its vintages, the precision of its Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend, and the genuine alignment between its historic classification and the quality we find in the glass. A benchmark Saint-Julien: HVE-certified, firmly structured, and built for the cellar.
