M. Francois
Langoa-Barton exemplifies the civilised restraint of classical Bordeaux. It seeks to impress through harmony rather than exuberance—the very prototype of Saint-Julien, poised between Pauillac's structure and Margaux's refinement. A wine of exemplary consistency and a true refuge in any cellar.

CHATEAU LANGOA BARTON

Set on the gravel slopes of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle overlooking the Gironde, Château Langoa Barton is one of the very few 3rd Grands Crus Classés of 1855 still held by the family that owned it at the time of classification. Acquired in 1821 by Hugh Barton, the château works 20 hectares of shallow graves to produce red wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Saint-Julien style — precise, full-bodied and quietly elegant — and for the remarkable continuity of a family now in its tenth generation with Lilian Barton Sartorius. A benchmark of the appellation, and one we are proud to list.
