From Clos Bel-Air to Grand Cru: two centuries of refinement

  • This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru displays a striking duality: substantial structure married to genuine elegance. The wine commands attention without sacrificing finesse, offering the kind of personality that rewards careful attention.
  • Built for the cellar, this vintage possesses the depth and balance necessary for meaningful ageing. The tannin framework is sufficiently robust to support a decade or more of development, revealing greater complexity with time.
  • Elevated to Grand Cru status in 2006, this wine reflects the terroir of Saint-Émilion's finest slopes. The organic farming practices enhance the natural expression of the fruit and soil character.

Product features : Chateau Fleur Cardinale 2021 — Saint-Émilion Grand Cru — Organic

In the mouth
The palate confirms the nose's promise: generous, well-structured fruit supported by silky tannins. The balance between power and elegance is the hallmark of this vintage. A wine of real substance.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with ripe dark fruits—blackcurrant and plum—complemented by subtle floral notes and a whisper of spice. The aromatics suggest both ripeness and restraint.
On the eye
Deep, dense garnet. A wine of considerable substance and concentration.
Breeding
Aged 12 to 14 months in oak barrels.
M. Francois
This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru pairs beautifully with game birds such as roasted quail, or with simply prepared roasted poultry. The wine's structure and aromatic complexity complement rich, savoury dishes without overwhelming them. Nicolas François recommends decanting thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to breathe.
