Exclusively in oval wooden vats of 12 to 25 hectolitres for approximately 12 months

Luminous ruby-red with violet and cherry reflections, remarkably clear and bright.

Delicate floral notes mingle with red berry fruit—red currant and wild strawberry—creating an inviting aromatic profile that speaks of the vineyard's freshness.
In the mouth
Direct and clean attack with gently crushed red fruit and abundant juice. The acidity is refined and persistent on the finish, providing structure without heaviness.
Thierry Germain's Franc de Pied is a wine of pure emotion. The ungrafted vines impart a particular vibration and vital energy absent from grafted stock. Here, the usual structural framework of Cabernet Franc yields to perfume and silk. A sincere, unadorned expression of the appellation. Pairs admirably with roasted capon, beef tartare with capers, or braised pork fillet.

Domaine des Roches Neuves is a wine estate in the Saumur-Champigny appellation (Loire Valley), run by Thierry Germain. Around 28 hectares farmed biodynamically. Main grapes: Cabernet Franc (reds) and Chenin Blanc (whites). Limestone tuffeau soils. Cuvées: Terres Chaudes, Marginale, Franc de Pied. Wines of great precision and fine depth.
