Breeding
New French oak barrels for 18 months
On the eye
Deep, impenetrable purple-black. Intense and concentrated in appearance.
On the nose
Ripe dark fruits dominate: cassis cream, wild blackberry and black cherry. The bouquet unfolds with classic Médoc restraint and depth.
In the mouth
Noble tannins, tightly woven yet remarkably fine-grained and silken. The palate shows power held in check by elegant structure. A wine built for the cellar.
M. Francois
This Médoc carries the stature of a fine Saint-Estèphe or Pauillac—that same quiet strength and directness characteristic of the greatest gravels wines. A collector's wine requiring patience; those who wait will discover magnificent tertiary complexity. Pair with grilled meats or Mediterranean cuisine of substance.

CHATEAU LA TOUR DE BY

Set on 94 hectares of gravelly soils at Bégadan in the northern Médoc, Château la Tour de By produces red, white and rosé wines under the Bordeaux appellation, across two well-exposed gravel ridges facing the Gironde. Founded in 1599 and acquired in 1965 by Marc Pagès, the château is today run by his grandsons Frédéric Le Clerc and Benjamin Richer de Forges. The blend is led by Cabernet-Sauvignon at 60%, supported by Merlot and Petit Verdot, delivering the structure and definition that Médoc gravel terroir does so well. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the reliability of its vintages, its clear terroir expression, and its HVE certification. A dependable reference for lovers of structured Médoc.
