Breeding
Aged 12 months in French oak barrels.
On the eye
Deep ruby red, with the colour density characteristic of fine Médoc.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with dark berries and cassis, complemented by subtle oak influence. The aromatics are layered and inviting, suggesting the wine's underlying complexity.
In the mouth
The palate is dense yet elegant, with ripe, well-integrated tannins providing structure. Dark fruit flavours persist through to a lingering finish, whilst maintaining the refined balance that marks this vintage.
M. Francois
Pair with game terrines, wild mushroom preparations, or prime beef cuts. The wine's structure and fruit intensity also make it a natural companion to aged cheeses of character, such as those with pronounced flavour profiles.

CHATEAU LA TOUR DE BY

Set on 94 hectares of gravelly soils at Bégadan in the northern Médoc, Château la Tour de By produces red, white and rosé wines under the Bordeaux appellation, across two well-exposed gravel ridges facing the Gironde. Founded in 1599 and acquired in 1965 by Marc Pagès, the château is today run by his grandsons Frédéric Le Clerc and Benjamin Richer de Forges. The blend is led by Cabernet-Sauvignon at 60%, supported by Merlot and Petit Verdot, delivering the structure and definition that Médoc gravel terroir does so well. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the reliability of its vintages, its clear terroir expression, and its HVE certification. A dependable reference for lovers of structured Médoc.
