Breeding
In barrels (predominantly new oak) for approximately 20 months
On the eye
Garnet
On the nose
Ripe dark fruits mingle with spice and liquorice. Toasted and vanilla notes from careful barrel ageing add further dimension and refinement to the bouquet.
In the mouth
Rich, deep and layered. The wine unfolds with considerable complexity, its tannins well-integrated and its finish persistent. A wine of substance and elegance.
M. Francois
This is a wine of considerable merit alongside roasted game birds and their seasonal vegetables. The structure and concentration will complement dishes of similar weight and intensity. Consider also aged cheeses and slow-cooked beef preparations that allow the wine's complexity to shine.
