In the mouth
The palate is generous and well-structured, with good weight and a satisfying finish. Tannins are present but refined, providing framework without dominating the wine's natural fruit expression.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with ripe dark fruit, enveloped by pleasant toasted oak aromas that speak to careful élevage. The nose develops with air, revealing secondary notes of subtle spice.
On the eye
Deep, vibrant ruby with a lustrous intensity characteristic of the vintage.
Breeding
18 to 20 months in new French oak barrels
M. Francois
This wine's structure and weight make it particularly suited to classic Bordelais cuisine. Consider it alongside lamproie à la Bordelaise, where the wine's richness and tannin structure complement the sauce's depth. Equally at home with roasted game birds or mature cheeses.
