Neighbour to Mouton and Lafite, expression of Pauillac's finest terroir

  • Fourth Growth Bordeaux from the prestigious 1855 Classification. Duhart-Milon occupies a distinguished position amongst Pauillac's elite, with vineyards positioned between the celebrated estates of Mouton-Rothschild and Lafite-Rothschild.
  • The magnum format—three bottles in wooden case—proves ideal for substantial gatherings, allowing proper decanting and service whilst maintaining the wine's structure and complexity over the course of an evening.
  • Produced under reasoned viticulture practices that respect the vineyard's natural rhythms. The estate prioritises sustainable management of its 80 hectares, ensuring the expression of authentic Pauillac character across vintages.

Product features : Chateau Duhart-Milon – 4eme Cru Classé 2016 — Pauillac

Breeding
18 months in French oak barrels from Domaines cooperage (approximately 50% new wood)
On the eye
Deep garnet robe, brilliantly clear and luminous
On the nose
A refined and layered bouquet revealing blackcurrant liqueur, dark berry fruit and a distinctive graphite minerality characteristic of the finest Pauillac terroirs. The aromatics develop with measured complexity.
In the mouth
Savoury and persistent, displaying the power of Cabernet Sauvignon tempered by the silken texture signature of the Lafite group. Medium-bodied with excellent structure and length, the tannins remain elegant rather than aggressive.
M. Francois
This wine embodies the straightforward integrity of Pauillac's terroir. It pairs admirably with charcuterie, roasted red meats and sauced dishes—a leg of lamb with flageolets would be an exemplary choice. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to fully express itself.
