  • The blend showcases the generosity of Merlot alongside the spiced complexity of Cabernet Franc, creating a harmonious interplay of ripe fruit and subtle earthiness that defines the best of this Right Bank terroir.
  • Fine-grained tannins provide the framework for a wine of considerable elegance. The structure is sufficiently developed to reward careful cellaring, yet remains approachable in its youth.

Breeding
Two-thirds in new oak barrels and one-third in one-year-old barrels
On the eye
Deep ruby-garnet with purple-tinged highlights, indicating youth and good concentration.
On the nose
A powerful and expressive bouquet reveals cassis and blackberry, with secondary notes of liquorice, forest floor and tobacco leaf. The aromatics suggest both ripeness and terroir-driven character.
In the mouth
Ripe red fruits dominate, complemented by subtle floral notes and the warming spice of the Cabernet Franc component. The palate is well-balanced, with good mid-weight presence and a clean finish.
M. Francois
This wine pairs excellently with grilled lamb cutlets dressed with herbs, or a quality beef steak. The tannin structure and fruit profile make it equally suited to game preparations or aged hard cheeses. Drink now through 2028.

CHATEAU DALEM

Château Dalem spans 40 hectares on the clay-limestone coteaux of Saillans, in the Gironde, within the Fronsac appellation. Founded in 1610, the vineyard remained in the same family for three centuries before Michel Rullier acquired it in 1955. His daughter Brigitte Rullier-Loussert — named Winemaker of the Year by the Guide Hachette 2019 — has since transformed the estate, expanding it from 15 to 40 hectares. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Fronsac reds, the honest expression of its terroir, and the rigorous vision Brigitte brings to every vintage. A Fronsac address that deserves the full attention of lovers of characterful Bordeaux.
