A decade of oak maturation in a glass

  • This 10 Year Old Tawny offers a refined balance of sweetness and complexity, with the fruit-forward character that defines the finest aged Tawnies. Each glass reveals the careful maturation that has softened and deepened its character.
  • A full decade in oak cask has developed a remarkable depth of aroma. Expect notes of dried apricot, orange peel, walnut and caramel—the classic signature of a mature Tawny that has achieved genuine complexity without heaviness.
  • This is the natural choice to accompany dried fruit desserts, almond-based confections, and aged cheeses. Its elegance and restraint make it equally rewarding as an aperitif or meditation wine on its own.

Product features : Ramos Pinto Porto Rouge Arp Quinta de Ervamoira 10 Ans Tawny

Breeding
This tawny is a blend of red wines from different harvests with an average age of 10 years. Its body and richness of flavours transport us to its production location, Quinta de Ervamoira.
On the eye
Burnished amber-red with subtle golden highlights
On the nose
A generous, rounded bouquet with clear notes of dried orange, apricot and plum, complemented by vanilla and the subtle earthiness of mature wood. Distinctly fruity for a Tawny of this age.
In the mouth
Fresh fruit character persists on the palate with good structure and excellent balance between fruit and alcohol. A clean, slightly cool finish provides refinement and prevents any sense of heaviness.
M. Francois
Pairs beautifully with dried fruit compotes, orange-based desserts and egg-enriched pastries. Also excellent with blue cheeses and aged hard cheeses. The wine's restraint makes it suitable for serving slightly chilled as an aperitif, or at cellar temperature as a contemplative after-dinner wine.
